DIY Coffee Mug
Information technology's simple. My mom loves coffee and Jesus. Don't go me incorrect… she loves other things too… merely she LUUVS her coffee and Jesus. 🙂
When Mother's Solar day rolled around, I totally waited until the last minute to brand her Female parent's 24-hour interval gift. {Ok, perchance the mean solar day later on Mother's day, I finally made her gift. Only don't tell her I said that.} I'm a HUGE procrastinator with some things. I accept no idea why, simply I tend to remember I have more time than anyone else to get something done.
Anyhoo… I had been wanting to experiment with a few things on my Silhouette machine, and I knew this would exist the perfect opportunity. I've made t-shirts with estrus transfer material, but working with vinyl was going to be a, "offset." I thought, "Ha, this will be a breeze."
And it was… but it would have been easier if I would have researched vinyl with a Silhouette start. I had no thought that you would need "transfer," paper, to easily transfer vinyl to the mug.
And so…QUICK TIP:
Before y'all programme to utilize vinyl with your Silhouette motorcar, you may want to invest in some transfer paper.
I posted a video on Facebook of myself trying to do this without transfer newspaper, and well…
What if I don't accept a Silhouette machine, but I want to make this?
Well.. so I think you should put a Silhouette machine on your "wish list." Or but get ane like I did, and told my husband that it was NECESSARY for me to take. 😉
But if you're non set to buy ane just still… I've seen some SERIOUS fabulous DIY crafts out in that location, that were created using a magic marker. Simply search on Pinterest, and I guarantee you'll find some magic marker mug tutorials!
How I Fabricated this DIY Coffee Mug Souvenir:
I just grabbed a plain white java mug at Target.
I decided what I wanted the mug to say {making sure it was something that described the person I was giving the gift to}, and I "cut," it out with my Silhouette machine.
Lastly… I grabbed a few K-Cups {because my mom has a Keurig java machine, and put them in a plastic favor bag, that I had left over from 1 of the kids' parties.
I tied the bag with some precious trivial washi tape that I had on hand, and viola. I have a DIY gift for my mom for Mother's Day.
The beautiful matter nearly this souvenir?
Information technology could be a souvenir idea for anyone. Mom, best friend, husband, preacher, teacher, co-worker…
What I'm most excited about? I now have a new "go-to," gift thought that I can whip up in no time. PLUS… when the receiver knows that it was made by you… it all of a sudden means that much more to them!
Happy Crafting & DIY'ing!
Let me know if you have any questions!
